OMIM Inline Mendelian Inheritance in Man

The Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man (OMIM) is a catalog of human genes and genetic disorders. Victor McKusick and colleagues from the John Hopkins Hospital developed this database. The database contains detailed reference information and combines PubMed articles and genomic information (DNA-, protein sequences, etc.). It stores data considering Mendelian disorders (inherited traits between generations). OMIM contains data for over 12,000 human diseases and their relevant genes.
